Hassle-Free Install Procedure. This Aeroskin hood protector includes an automotive-grade double-sided adhesive tape backing for a hassle-free peel-and-stick installation. Before mounting this hood protector, your hood should be thoroughly cleaned and dried before wiping down with the included alcohol pads. This is to ensure complete bonding of the adhesive to the mounting surface. What’s more, when installing this in cold weather, you should first warm-up the mounting surface as the adhesive is more effective if the surface is between 60 and 80 degrees Fahrenheit. This can be done using a heat gun or hairdryer.
Application. This Aeroskin Matte Black Hood Protector fits 2019-2026 Chevrolet Silverado 1500, excluding 2022-2026 Trail Boss and ZR2 models.
Application Notes. Do not drive your vehicle for 24 hours, and do not wash it for 72 hours after installation. This is to give the adhesive time to reach maximum adhesion.
