The Amp Research PowerStep Plug is a set of retractable running boards that automatically extend when vehicle doors open and retract when they close, providing both convenience and a sleek appearance. It enhances vehicle access while preserving ground clearance and clean aesthetics when not in use.
Construction and Appearance. Crafted from corrosion-resistant die-cast aluminum with a military-grade black PTFE coating, the running boards offer superior strength, durability, and a textured slip-resistant surface. The integrated low-profile LED lights add functionality and style by illuminating the step area for safer entry and exit in low-light conditions.
Installation. Installation is moderately challenging and recommended to be performed by professionals. The kit mounts securely to the vehicle’s rocker panel and, for newer models, connects easily to the OBDII port via a plug-and-play module without drilling or cutting.
Warranty. This product includes a 5-year limited warranty covering defects in materials and workmanship when installed as instructed.
