This rear shock uses a monotube gas-charged design combined with exclusive velocity-sensitive digressive valving technology. This setup is engineered to provide your truck with a near-instantaneous damping response that conforms to the terrain you’re on. This translates to accurate handling control on the trails and a firm but smooth ride quality on the highway.
Heavy-Duty Build Quality. This rear damper utilizes a 2-inch shock body machined from high-quality steel, offering superior durability as well as ideal heat dissipation. The piston rod for its part is similarly machined from chrome-hardened alloy, providing the strength to take on the trails. Meanwhile, its bushings are made from premium neoprene rubber for excellent vibration damping. This shock assembly is then finished with a chip-resistant yellow powder coating that offers excellent corrosion protection and a distinct look. Finally, this component comes with a blue poly dust boot to keep the piston rod seal protected from debris.
User-Friendly Install Procedure. This rear shock is designed to replace your RAM’s stock rear shock without the need for additional modifications. Also, installation requires just standard hand tools to complete.
