The ATAK (Acoustically Tuned Applied Kinetics) muffler is key to this ferocious exhaust note, deploying a multicore design with carefully arranged solid or perforated elements to tune and deflect the sounds, making this cat-back’s satisfying snarl.
With Sound Comes Power. The free-flow muffler, combined with very smooth mandrel bends that don’t “pinch” the gas flow out the tailpipes, boosts scavenging from the cylinders, drains excess engine backpressure, and adds up to both fuel mileage gains (when cruising) and an overall +7% to +10% torque and horsepower.
Durable Construction. USA-made like all Borla parts, the ATAK Dual Rear Exit Cat-Back features all-welded construction, giving it the strength to power through years of hard use. A bolt-on system supplied with all needed hardware, the ATAK Cat-Back includes a 3.5″ intermediate pipe and dual 2.25″ tailpipes ending in 4″ angle-cut black tips. Aerospace grade austenitic 300-grade stainless steel appears throughout, and the part is covered by a 1 million mile manufacturer’s warranty.
