No Tune Required. K&N designs the FIPK to work fine without ECM re-tuning. It provides a noticeable increase in performance using the existing tune. More power is available with an ECM re-tune combined with the FIPK, though potentially at the cost of reduced engine life and increased emissions.
Permanent Oiled Filter. K&N provides their famous race-winning cotton gauze filter. This element is expected to last a minimum of 100,000 miles. Simply remove, wash, reoil, and reinstall as needed. As always, K&N improves performance while saving you money on replacement filters.
K&N Smoothness. The smooth curves of the high-density polyethelene intake tube speeds air into the engine’s manifold, with no kinks or steps to get in the way.
