This product replaces the factory exhaust from the DPF filter back, installing a sleek, straight pipe in place of the large factory muffler. This exhaust can net mild power gains and slightly increase sound with less resistance, less backpressure, and better flow.
Improved Exhaust Tone. Not only does this exhaust flow significantly better than stock, but it also sounds better. By removing the factory muffler, which is practically a large resonator, this MBRP exhaust produces a deeper, mildly louder tone that will grab some attention.
Emissions Compliant. This exhaust system is fully emissions compliant, considering it only alters the exhaust post-filter. The original catalytic converter, NOx filter, and Diesel Particulate Filter remain intact, allowing your RAM to pass smog inspections for every state, including California.
Aluminized Steel Construction. This exhaust system is manufactured from durable aluminized steel: mild steel piping hot-dipped in an aluminum-silicon alloy for a durable, corrosion-resistant coating. Though aluminized, this exhaust system is still not as durable as MBRP’s stainless steel systems; because of this, it’s not recommended for areas where extreme precipitation, snow, and road salt are routinely encountered.
Warranty. A limited 1-year warranty covers this product from manufacturing defects.
