Construction and Appearance. Constructed from forged steel with a reinforced ball joint head, this control arm features a thicker cross section for added durability. The assembly incorporates patented sintered metal bearings and a patented sealing ring that permanently locks the neoprene dust boot onto the ball joint housing to protect against contaminants. It is finished with a corrosion-resistant Repel-TEK surface treatment and contains upgraded rubber bushings with knurling to secure the bushing to the sub-frame, with all components coated in a durable gold finish.
Installation. Installation is designed to be straightforward with no drilling required thanks to part-specific slotted castle nuts and easy snap cotter pins included. The assembly features a 90-degree SAE grease fitting to simplify servicing, making it suitable for professional mechanics and skilled automotive enthusiasts alike.
Application. This part fits 2007 to 2016 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 models equipped with a cast iron arm, excluding the 2013 model year and mid-2014 through 2016 model years for both 4WD and RWD configurations where the cast iron arm is specified.
